Note there are no toilets here, only at campground 1, Google map reference for camp 1 is -37.462444+143.904000

No drinkable, water, in the park, at all, and the creek is seasonal, usually totally dry throughout early Summer months, until late Autumn. There are many very deep mine shafts all around the park, and the Creswick area, so if bringing children, they must be be supervised at all time's.

The picnic ground no longer has chairs or tables, and only 1 small wood fireplace for BBQ's, and your own wood is required.

Creswick park is a lovely spot, picnic ground one is preferable for smaller vehicles, as the this is not the easiest road to get too, and many of the roads listed as accessible, should be accessed cautiously, throughout the park, as they are far more suited to 4x4. Many of the "good roads" also have center humps that should not be attempted, and grading of roads seems mythical, past camp one!

Drive in site good for vans, though suggest driving in from slaty creek road end as its an easier road. Some sites have small concrete slabs for leveling your van. No toilets, 5-10min walk to camp site 1 where there are toilets. Part of the Golfields walking/cycling track.

Beautiful place for a weekend away with family or friends

Toilet is a short drive away (drop dunny).
Not a bad place, quiet and there is enough fire wood around. Easy enough to get to with any vehicle

Nice ,peaceful camping spot would definitely need to plan ahead as quite a popular area, was very busy over Easter.... creek was quite empty but people were still gold panning.

A fantastic place for a picnic or camp plenty of wild life in a excellent quiet surroundings. Access is limited due to weather conditions but well worth the effort.

It's a beautiful place to camp at but be careful where you set up camp. Even if it's fully equipped with a fire pit, cleared areas for your tent/caravan and a car parking area and you may have even been there for a few days to a week, the Vic parks rangers will tell you to move, saying that were you are is now not a campsite. Other than that it is a beautiful place to camp.

There are many gold prospecting activities around the area which resulted in excavation of deep holes in nearby bushes that could be dangerous for kids and dogs and even adults. There also is no toilet in this site (there is a toilet in Slaty Creek Campground no.1, 4 min drive). But the site was pretty clean and quite. Pretty average site for camping especially if you come from Melbourne.
